We’re very pleased to present the 2015 program for the 10th Annual Victoria Whisky Festival. The Victoria Whisky Festival will run through Thursday the 15th, Friday the 16th, Saturday the 17th and Sunday the 18th of January 2015 at the 5 star Hotel Grand Pacific located on Victoria’s beautiful Inner Harbour.

For our 10th Annual Festival we will continue to sell tickets on two days; Friday 7th of November 2014 for out of town attendees. They may telephone the Hotel Grand Pacific to purchase their tickets in conjunction with a hotel room reservation.

All Festival tickets will be strictly limited, bundled into packages and will be non-refundable. The telephone lines will open at 10 a.m. Pacific Standard Time; please telephone the Hotel Reservation line at 1-800-663-7550 on the 7th of November to reserve your room and purchase your tickets. Due to the anticipated high demand please allow time for the hotel operators to return your call; this may take several hours or more. Please click here to view the ticket packages that are available to out of town attendees. Tickets may be collected once you have checked into the hotel.

The Hotel Grand Pacific will be Tweeting live updates as the day progresses, please follow the action at @grandpacific on Twitter.

All Festival tickets are subject to applicable taxes and a small ticket handling fee will be in place.

Our friends at the Strath will once again open the restaurant next door for coffee and tea for those waiting for their turn to buy tickets. Numbered ticket purchase forms will be handed out so that your place in line will not be lost!

Not fans of line ups and discover that you’re hungry at dinner time? Check in with the Festival first where you’ll have your hand stamped, be handed your engraved Glencairn nosing & tasting glass. You may also check your coats and book your safe ride home at the same time. Then make your way to the Pacific Restaurant just off the lobby of the Hotel Grand Pacific for a sumptuous dinner.

At the start of the Consumer Tasting at 7PM (6pm for VIP Consumer Tasting Ticket Holders) simply enter the Festival avoiding any line ups!

The Chefs at the Hotel Grand Pacific will be offering a special entrée, Roasted Prime Rib with Red Wine Demi, Herbed Potato Puree and Yorkshire Pudding in the Pacific Restaurant especially for Festival attendees.

Simply phone the Pacific Restaurant at (250) 380–4478 to reserve your table (Please ask for Restaurant Managers Dale Fudge or Sarah Guthman). Reservations start at 5PM. Please make sure you arrive promptly at your specific reservation time!

The special entrée price is $28 not including applicable taxes & gratuity. Limited Seating – Pacific Restaurant.

The VIP Tasting is open to special guests of the 2014 Victoria Whisky Festival and VIP Ticket holders. It will be held in the Vancouver & Pender Island Ballrooms prior to the Consumer Tasting and will feature the full line of whiskies as with the Consumer Tasting. VIP Ticket holders will be able to explore the range of whiskies being presented for a full hour prior to the Consumer Tasting (Ticket price includes VIP Tasting & Consumer Tasting).

7:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M.

The heart of the Festival is the Consumer Tasting being held in the Hotel Grand Pacific’s Pender Island and Vancouver Island Ballrooms featuring a myriad of distilleries and whiskies including Canadian whisky, Scottish single malts and blended whiskies, Irish whiskey, Japanese, Indian, French, Swedish, Australian whiskies and a variety of whisky & whiskey styles from the United States of America.

Each attendee is provided with an engraved Glencairn whisky nosing & tasting glass and an Whisky Advocate magazine as well as assorted product information from the presenters.

The Hotel Grand Pacific will be providing the best Hors d’Oeuvres from their award winning kitchen and Chefs using local ingredients including the very popular & elusive haggis tarts created especially for the Victoria Whisky Festival! Here you will be able to satisfy your whisky curiosity by sampling your choice of over 150 whiskies, the largest selection available for such an event in British Columbia.

Sunday January 18th, 2015 - Evening

The Distillers Dinner

In 2015 the Festival is ……… well we’re still working on it but it should prove to be spectacular. Details to follow. The Hotel Grand Pacific's Executive Chef Rick Choy will pair exceptional local ingredients with these exceptional single malts. This event is open to Festival guests only.
